Welcome to the new blog for Phelan Dental Seminars. With this site I am planning to to post a variety of clinical photos as well as videos from my You Tube channel. I have attached an introductory video and in the near future I will be posting videos on laser cavity preparation for primary teeth, minimally invasive, guided implant surgery and the use of the iPad in the dental office. Dr. Stephen Phelan graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 1992. Dr. Phelan has spent hundreds of hours training with some of the best dental educators in the world including Drs. John Kois, Frank Spear, Peter Dawson, Dennis Tarnow, Pascal Magne, Jimmy Eubank, Jeff Morley, Bill Strupp, Buddy Mopper and Newton Fahl.

Dr. Phelan is one of only 300 dentists worldwide to have received Accredited Member status in the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and is one of a very small percentage of dentists to have passed this process on the first attempt.

Dr. Phelan is the author of numerous articles on techniques in esthetic dentistry published in peer-reviewed scientific journals such as the Canadian Dental Association Journal and The Journal of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Phelan also had an implant case selected as a winner in the Worldwide Esthetic Case Competition by Straumann and is featured in the 2005 Esthetic Casebook. He has lectured locally and internationally on the subject of dental implants, occlusion, esthetic and restorative dentistry.

Dr. Stephen Phelan lives in Oakville with his wife Melissa and their children Kyleigh and Jack. He has been a sponsor for numerous local community charities, fundraisers and a variety of minor sports teams.

Dr. Phelan has been in private practice in Oakville, Ontario, since August 1992 and has limited his practice to aesthetic, restorative and implant dentistry.
